Weight Loss-Breakfast-Calorie

WHAT IS SABOTAGING YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORT???
>>You rush off to work on an empty stomach: Bad idea! Skipping breakfast can only sabotage your weight loss efforts. People who eat breakfast daily weigh less, those who don't eat breakfast weigh more. It's that simple. A high nutrient breakfast gets your body off to a good calorie-burning start.

>>You think 'no carbs after 6pm' is a diet mantra: There is no magic time to stop eating rice and chapatis. Just stop eating bad carbs late. Carbs aren't all bad. To lose weight, choose the right carbs instead of focusing on overall carb intake.

>>You think fat-free foods are dieter's best friend: You can't take the fat out of a fatty food and make it healthy. If you are buying a fat free cookie, the fat may be missing, but in its place you get tons of additional carbs and sugar that are attempting to make the fake food taste real.
>>You think a fat burning supplement will get you in shape faster: There are no miracle pills, potions or creams that help you incinerate fat.
>>You think the only thing that matters for weight loss is cutting calories: Not exactly. Total calories do matter, but the quality of those calories is just as important. washing down a 500 calorie cheese burger with 200 calorie cola is a far cry from eating the same number of calories in a handful of almonds, a piece of fruit, and some grilled chicken breasts. read more..

Mineral Crystals-Mineral Content-Himalayan Salt-Skin Diseases-Salt Deposits

Himalayan Pink Salt

Recently I started to use Himalayan Rose Pink Salt, I love it!Here are some awesome benefits and facts about Himalayan Pink Salt;Himalayan Pink Salt is a pure, hand-mined salt that is derived from ancient sea salt deposits, and it is believed to be the purest form of salt available.  The high mineral crystals range in color from sheer white, varying shades of pink, to deep reds, the result of high mineral and iron content.
Himalayan Pink Salt has a rich mineral content that includes over 84 minerals and trace elements such as: calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper and iron.  This salt is recognized for its beautiful pink color, high mineral content, and its therapeutic properties.  Regular consumption of Himalayan Pink Salt provides essential minerals, trace elements, balances electrolytes, supports proper nutrient absorption, eliminates toxins, balances the body’s pH, normalizes blood pressure, and increases circulation and conductivity.  It can also assist with relief from arthritis, skin rashes, psoriasis, herpes, and flu and fever symptoms.
For culinary purposes, simply dissolve the salt into soups and hot dishes, or place the coarse salt crystals into a salt grinder and mill directly onto dishes.
Medicinally, Himalayan Salt is dissolved in water to create a brine, which is often referred to as “energized water”. This brine is used for a plethora of physical ailments including arthritis, rheumatism, osteoporosis, gout, kidney and gall bladder stones, skin diseases, psoriasis, and for toxin elimination.  The proper way to consume the brine is in the morning on an empty stomach, taking one teaspoon of Himalayan Salt Brine with a glass of water.  Wait 10 minutes before eating or drinking anything else.
Externally, a brine bath is recommended for detoxification, to strengthen the immune system, heal skin diseases, for rheumatism and joint diseases, to balance the skin’s pH, and for recovery after surgery.  In order receive the full benefit of a therapeutic salt bath, it is recommended to use 1-2 pounds of salt per bath, and make sure that the water temperature is around 97 degrees Fahrenheit to mimic the body’s temperature.  Soak for 20-30 minutes.
Facial steams are recommended for those with asthma, bronchitis, sinus infections, ear infections, and for all acute, chronic, and specific illnesses of the upper and lower respiratory tracts.  Simply boil water, add salt to water, cover your head with a towel to create a “tent”, and inhale the vapors for 10-15 minutes.
Poultices made with the brine are used to treat open wounds, and pain from arthritis, gout and osteoporosis.  Simply soak a cloth with body temperature brine, and apply the cloth to the treatment area.  Wrap this poultice with a dry cloth.* source read more..

Weight Loss Program-Body Fat Percentage-Weight Loss Plateau-Weight Training

HOW TO STILL LOSE POUNDS WHEN WEIGHT LOSS SUDDENLY STOPS AND FLAB IS JIGGLING: W...

HOW TO STILL LOSE POUNDS WHEN WEIGHT LOSS SUDDENLY STOPS AND FLAB IS JIGGLING: When you start a new weight loss program, especially if you have significant amount of weight to lose, the pounds often fall off rather easily the first few weeks. However as your journey progresses its common to hit a point where even though you're still exercising and dieting, the scale stops showing results. This is commonly referred to as a Weight Loss Plateau. There are a couple of different reasons why the scale isn’t budging. With a few tweaks to your routine, you’ll find that you can start losing weight again. Take a look at some of the most common reasons why you may not be losing weight:
1. YOU ARE UNDERESTIMATING THE CALORIES YOU EAT. When you start a diet, you’re probably quite strict about counting your calories. You may even use a scale or measuring cups to make sure that you are eating the right portion size. However, as time goes on, you tend to get less rigid, eyeballing portions instead of being accurate. This could be adding extra calories without you realizing it.
2. YOU ARE OVERESTIMATING THE CALORIES BURNED. If you’re following the calories burned guide on the exercise machine or relying on estimates from the internet, you may be overestimating how much you are burning when you work out. Get yourself a heart rate monitor that tracks calories and to make sure you’re working at your target heart rate. PS: How Many Calories do You Burn as per Activity http://www.indiadiets.com/Calculators1/Activitycalburn.htm
3. YOU ARE NOT EATING ENOUGH. People who are more active need more calories just to survive. If you eat too few calories, your body thinks that it’s starving and it tends to hold on to the fat. The barest minimums are 1200 calories for women and 1800 for men. People that are larger, more active, or breastfeeding may require much more. I’d venture to say that most people need much more than the 1200/1800. Calculate how many calories you should be eating http://www.indiadiets.com/Calculators1/Total_caloric_requirement.asp
. YOUR BODY IS IN A RUT. Our bodies are made to be efficient. If you’ve been doing the same exercise routine since you started a diet, your body may have adjusted to the activity, so that it’s not burning as many calories as when you first started. To remedy this, try switching to a different aerobic exercise, or increase your frequency, duration or intensity. If you’re weight training, try different exercises and be sure to increase the weights if the exercises are too easy.
5. YOU ARE LOSING FAT BUT GAINING MUSCLE. If you’re new to exercise (or getting back into it after a long layoff), you may be losing body fat but gaining muscle at the same time. I’ve had this happen to me several times. If this is the case, rejoice! That’s the holy grail of fat loss. How can you tell if you’re losing fat and gaining lean body mass? Track your body fat percentage over several weeks. You may see your weight staying the same but your body fat percentage dropping.
If you don’t think that any of these reasons apply to you, you may want to discuss your concerns with a Nutritionist. Be sure to keep a detailed log of your foods and activities so that your nutritionist can get a better idea of the whole picture.
